I had just purchased a new grill and was unable to get my wood chips to produce any smoke with my old smoker box. This new V-shape lets you set the smoker box on the "Flavorizer" bars that are used in newer gas grills. The new box was able to produce the smoke I like when cooking pork on my gas grill.

Gas grills are considered by many to be the most convenient way to grill but unfortunately this usually means giving up great smoky flavor for convenience.
