(More customer reviews)I got this item this week and needed to use it to spread salt. I found the item barely useable. Unlike the Scott's Handheld Spreader which has a trigger to open the door to drop salt, this requires you to open the door with the hand you use to crank the handle. As soon as you open the door, the salt begins dropping (before you're able to crank the handle) and it jams the spinning wheel. The same thing happens when you go to close the door. I definitely cannot recommend it.

(More customer reviews)OK first the pros, this will save you a lot of time compared with the "pull out the hose and spray it around" method. A lot of time. And your patio plants will love you for it too--I grow tomatoes, herbs, and flowers on my patio and all my little ones produced much better when I got this (with less water waste).
The downside... The attachment from the spigot to the machine always leaked. I couldnt' get it to fit perfectly right, despite trying everything in the manual. It would be really nice if they also included a rubber tube or something to fit over the threads and the end of the tube that attaches to the spigot to make sure nothing leaks.
The machine itself also conked out after about a year...I changed the battery and everything, but it never worked right again. I did buy another, but if there was another option out there I probably would have gone with a different brand.

(More customer reviews)I can't believe I didn't read the reviews before buying. I'm 6'3" tall and as other tall people have mentioned, this shovel does not work well for tall people. I had a pan shovel several years ago that worked great. It had a bigger pan, was about 8 to 10 inches wider, had wooden runners on the bottom and the handle was longer and at the right angle. It was about the same width as a sidewalk so one trip was all it took. Because the Suncast shovel is smaller, you have to make more trips up and down a sidewalk and you have to empty it much more often. And if you're taller, you have to bend much further to get it out where you empty it, especially when the snow starts to pile up. I wouldn't recommend this shovel for anyone over about 5'8" tall.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my elderly mother, who lives right at the edge of a tiny town, and has a parade of bugs across the living room all summer.
The unit is a bit heavy for a person with declining hand strength, and the handle is a bit too thick. It would be better if it had some type of grip where you put your hand through an opening.
It works OK for small and medium size bugs on the floor or wall. Mother has lots of cellar spiders, and it's hard to capture them, because they build webs where the wall meets the ceiling. The webs also get into the unit. She also had an attack of ants, but again, they tend to make their trail in hard to get at places. They also invaded the kitchen counter, but it's awkward to use the unit at that height.
The big problem is that it does not kill larger bugs. I left the unit with her for a week, and she picked up a black widow. When I opened the unit, the spider was alive and well, and had made an egg sac.
I tried it on some large bugs that invade my home each summer - so-called "water bugs," but I think they're a member of the cockroach family. It picks them up fine, but does not kill them.
So analyze your needs before you buy. If most of your bugs are on the floor, and you don't care if the unit kills them or not, it should be OK. Also consider your hand strength and ability to grip the fairly fat, tapered handle.

It's stackable so it doesn't take up alot of space, and it is very easy to grow sprouts. Some of the sprouts my kids aren't big on, but I can't sprout enough lentils! They pick them clean as a snack. I am guessing that's a good thing. :^)

The SoapPac lathers well and has a pleasing but-not-to-strong scent. I will also second the recommendation that for best results it is best if the soap has time sit and work. This is not difficult on cloudy days, but it will be much more difficult on a warm sunny day.
I did take one star off due to the cost - these Pacs are more costly than I expected. However, they do a fine job and are simple to use -

After a years' use the item seems to sag a bit more than usual and the base where the tools sit is breaking through more frequently. I guess what I need for my use is the same design in metal and fastened to the wall stud. Overall its a great design that is limited by the material its made of.

Agri Zap RZCOO1 Rat Zapper Classic Review

(More customer reviews)I have been using two Rat Zappers for a few months now, with mixed results. They seem to work most reliably when the batteries are absolutely fresh. In particular, ordinary alkaline batteries seem to be good for one or two kills only. The recommended (and considerably more expensive) lithium batteries last a little longer, but the claim of "3 months or 15 rodent kills" seems to be marketing hype. Even with the optional "Rat Pack," the lethality diminishes rapidly after a few kills. Without absolutely new batteries, I often find the kill light will be flashing but nothing will be in the trap, suggesting that a rat received a non-lethal shock. That is a rodent that has now been trained to never set foot in such a trap again.
What this product desperately needs is an AC adapter, so it can deliver consistently lethal shocks where an outlet is available. Alternatively, some better mechanism for determining when it's time to replace the batteries would be helpful, besides trying to judge spark length or the relative brightness of the LED indicator.
I have found traditional snap traps to be more consistently effective for rat control, though I still use the Rat Zappers in areas where snap traps would be a danger to pets or children. Just be prepared to spend a fortune on batteries.

(More customer reviews)Fleas can be an annoying problem to have in your house. They're tiny, annoying little insects. It's a difficult problem to tackle, and you need to do so from several angles.
This flea trap is a big help in targeting certain areas of your home, particularly where your pets frequent. We set this trap up by the couch and there were a lot of fleas in it after one night. I was really impressed. You can move it to different rooms if you need to, and it has a nice long cord so you're not stuck near the wall. Definately a nice additions to your flea arsenal.
However, don't rely on it as your only means of tackling the flea problem. I found several home rememdies to use if you're not comfortable using chemicals and other artificial means. Mix 3 parts of borax and 1 part of salt and sprinkle it on your carpet and furniture. Wait half an hour and vaccum it off. The borax will kill any living fleas and the salt will dry out the eggs. Repeat for a week or two.
As for your animals, giving them a bath with a flea shampoo, or even regular dish soap. Just make sure you don't get it their eyes or anything. Combing also makes a big difference. Dunk the comb in a bowl of soapy water and swish it around to kill any fleas on the comb. If you find a few stuck in the teeth, you can use tweezers to pick them out and either dunk them in the water or burn them with a candle lighter. Be careful! Safety first! Watch for nearby flammables!
For yourself, I used a spray on insect repellent. Look for special tick and flea repellents in a store or online. Usually in the form of lotions, too. Avon's Skin so Soft is helpful.
Using the trap and other methods, you can diffently make your flea problem much more manageable, or even non-existant.

(More customer reviews)I've been using two of these units for a couple of months now. They replaced two Rain Saver diverters that basically fell apart after two years. I like that this system is made from sturdy plastic and large diameter hoses. I especially like the fact that the overflow output on the bottom is the same size as the input on the top. This prevents the problem I had with the Rain Saver models where the diverter would become a bottle neck during downpours and water would leak out the top of the diverter and run down the side of the house. Time will tell whether or not this new unit will hold up to the elements, but my initial impression is that it is better built than the Rain Savers I replaced. It doesn't feel cheap and flimsy.

(More customer reviews)I just purchased my second can and love them. The funnel is hard to put on but if you really pull back the handle it goes on pretty easily. The newer one works a bit easier than the older one. I agree with others that if the gas is stored in a hot area you shold release the pressure before pouring but the tank does not expand like my pastic cans do. When transpoting in the back of an SUV or car there is NO odor escape. I use them for tractors, lawn mowers, etc with no problem but I can see that if you were trying to pour into a car or truck filler door that was vertical it could be a problem getting sufficient gas into the vehicle.
