(More customer reviews)This is a very simple and effective device: heavy gage steel crimped into four "feet" with a simple clamp in the middle. There is no assembly, just insert the tree's "trunk" into the clamp and tighten the screws. There are four screws so the tree is clamped securely at two levels. I also appreciate that the base's shape might accommodate the addition of extra weights to stabilize really large artificial trees.
This is the kind of base that should come with every artificial tree instead of the absolute junk that breaks on the first use. I wonder how many perfectly good artificial trees are thrown out every year because the plastic base fails. Buy one of these and thumb your nose at the corporations that make and sell artificial Christmas trees.
