(More customer reviews)I bought this along with a bag of regular Scotts' Potting Mix. I was quite disappointed to see that it hardly looks any different than plain potting soil and that its chief ingredient is still peat. It says it contains "organic materials, sand, and perlite" that promote drainage, but I was really hoping for something closer to 50% sand and perlite, and the organics will break down eventually reducing drainage. I'm giving 2 stars because although its not pure peat, its just not the Cactus specific soil I was hoping for. I have an Aloinopsis schooneesii in it, too. I'll let you know how it does.
I feel this potting soil is poorly formulated for such a specific group of plants. You may read "Made of a mix of sand and Perlite organic material", but I'd strongly recommend further supplementing this soil with sand or fine rock if you choose to use it with your Cacti.
